As a scrapper, I am constantly collecting stuff. Business cards. Receipts. Envelopes. I typically try to get them into minibooks or on a layout, but sometimes they just accumulate in a 12x12 bag... untill now.
I decided to cover a door in our apartment with all the pretty things I love to look at. Magazine clippings. Labels. Sewing patterns. I just started by painting on my gel medium (which is basically watered down glue, and mod podge would work well too) and throwing stuff up there. If i didn't love the way it looked, i layered something on top of it. As I worked, i covered each layer with a topcoat of medium and just kept working.
Now I have something pretty to look at (I'm always the girl who wants to hang stuff on doors b/c they "need a little something") and when we move i will just bring the door with me! I know it will look even cooler leaning against an exposed brick wall or a brightly colored wall.

I think I am going to do this to the top of my door desk. With everything I have been collecting in two paper bags that I haven't done anything with.
